Robyn Helzner

Robyn HelznerOne of the leading interpreters of World Jewish Music, Robyn Helzner brings a life-long love and appreciation of the power of folk music to resonate across all cultural boundaries. From Beijing to Boston and from Moscow to Miami, Robyn has inspired Jewish audiences to celebrate their cultural roots and non-Jewish listeners to appreciate a vital part of Jewish culture.

An ambassador of World Jewish Music, Robyn has performed in history-making concerts in Beijing, Moscow, Tokyo, Hong Kong and throughout North America. Robyn officiated at the first Bar Mitzvah in Beijing, China and toured annually to Hong Kong. Robyn was the only American artist invited to appear at the dedication of Moscow’s Jewish Cultural Centre. Her underground concerts and sold-out performances in the concert halls of Moscow and St. Petersburg were broadcast on the public television special, "Chanukah - A Celebration of Freedom."

The Robyn Helzner TrioRobyn’s concerts for adults and children are a celebration in song. Robyn blends song, story, and lively audience participation to bring each song to life. Her magnetic presence lights up a stage. Performing as a soloist or together with the Robyn Helzner Trio, Robyn radiates a passion for Jewish music and an enthusiasm that captivates her listeners. Trio members Dov Weitman on mandolin and guitar, and Matt Holsen on bass and keyboard contribute to the group's exciting vocal and instrumental arrangements and create the Trio's signature sound. Since 1988, the Robyn Helzner Trio has been featured at synagogues, community centers, festivals, and universities worldwide.

Robyn’s Clap Your Hands and I Live In The City recordings are beloved by children worldwide. Music lovers of all ages enjoy Hearts Awaken and A Fire Burns featuring the Robyn Helzner Trio. Signs and Wonders is the Trio’s newest recording of World Jewish Music.
