Matt Holsen, a native of Washington, D.C., grew up in Spain and Chile, bringing the music of three cultures to the touch of his bass and the timbre of his voice.

An accomplished singer and instrumentalist, Matt has performed with pop, jazz, folk and classical groups, and appeared on two Capitol recordings under the direction of Leonard Bernstein. With his abundant musical talent, skills and experience, Matt contributes a wealth of expertise to the Trio's signature songs and arrangements. Matt's composing and arranging credits include orchestral, choral and chamber pieces, pop songs, and a few jingles. Matt runs his own recording studio, and is also a web developer.
